What is softened water treatment?

    Working principle
    Ion exchange method
    Methods: the specific cation exchange resin, sodium calcium and magnesium ions in the water will be replaced, because the solubility of sodium is very high, so as to avoid the temperature caused by the formation of scale.
    Features and effects: stable and accurate effect, mature technology. Can be reduced to 0.
    Use: catering, food, chemical, pharmaceutical and other fields, air conditioning, industrial circulating water and other applications. Currently the most common standard way.
    electromagnetic method
    Methods: the characteristics in the water with a certain electric field or magnetic field to change the ion by changing calcium carbonate (magnesium carbonate) physical characteristics and sedimentary velocity when formed to prevent hard scale.
    Features: small equipment investment, easy installation, low operating costs. The effect is not stable, no unified standard, and the main function is only the physical properties of scale effects within a certain range, so the treated water use of time and distance have certain limitations.
    Scope of application: for commercial (such as central air conditioning) circulation cooling water treatment, can not be used in industrial production and boiler make-up water treatment.
    Membrane separation
    Methods: nanofiltration membrane (NF) and reverse osmosis (RO) water calcium and magnesium ions can be intercepted, so as to reduce the water hardness fundamentally.
    Hardness can only be reduced to a certain range.
    Features: the effect is obvious and stable, the scope of treatment of water widely. High pressure on the inlet requirements, equipment investment, operating costs are higher.
    Scope of application: generally less specialized for softening treatment.
    Lime method
    Methods: adding lime to water.
    Features: hardness can only be reduced to a certain range.
    Applicable scope: the scope of large flow high hard water.
    Dosing method
    Methods: adding inhibitor to the special water, can change the characteristics of calcium ion and carbonate ion binding, which cannot scale precipitation and deposition.
    Features: disposable investment less, wide adaptability. Operating cost slants when water quantity is soft.
     Scope of application: due to the addition of chemicals, so the application of water is greatly limited, under normal circumstances can not be used in drinking, food processing, industrial production, etc.. Rarely used in the civil field.
